West and Central Africa faces one of the most critical education challenges globally, accounting for one-third of all out-of-school primary-age children and one-fifth of lower secondary-age children worldwide. The situation is even more dire for children affected by humanitarian crises, who are at heightened risk of missing out on education entirely.

Gender disparities remain a pressing issue—while ten boys are enrolled in primary school, only nine girls attend, with the gap widening at higher levels of education. Early childhood development is also severely limited: just one in four children has access to early learning, care, and stimulation.

AZ Holding alongside with UNICEF is committed to supporting education in West and Central Africa, investing heavily each year to ensure every child has access to quality schooling. 

The schools infrastructure and facilities are built to high international standards, designed to deliver exceptional education and a distinguished learning experience for all students.

More than 15 schools have been launched since 2023 by AZH & Unicef in Mali, Cameroon, Togo and Tanzania.
